Kelly and I tried a new place for lunch today - Nettletown.
It's a tiny restaurant next to a mini mart just around the block from my house.
I've been wanting to try it for a long time, and today just felt right.
I had the knoepfli, which is Swiss spaetzle.
I was dying to try spaetzle after Smitten Kitchen wrote about it.
It included red cabbage and had a poached egg on top.
It was soooo good!
Also coffee, a must, since I slept in too late to drink any before lunch.
Kelly had the lemongrass elk meatball sandwich.
From their website:
"Nettletown is a casual cafe restaurant located in the heart of Eastlake.
The diverse menu highlights wild and pacific northwest ingredients,
providing a new approach to seasonal and healthy food."
The chef has a Swiss and Chinese heritage. So interesting!
The food was great and cheap!
After lunch we went to an estate sale in Kirkland
(I'll post about that in a little bit)
and met Andriana for tea at the British Pantry in Redmond.
They have a nice afternoon tea that includes everything on that plate + tea.
When I got home I finally built my raised bed.
Tomorrow I'm planning to mix the soil and get the veggie garden all set up!
I leave you with a cute photo of what I woke up to today :)
