Reed Norris

I am still playing catch up with photos going back to May. 

One of my best friends had her first baby while I was at Tour de Lopez. 

I made it to Bellingham two weeks later to meet little Reed Norris. 

I was convinced he was named after Chuck Norris, 

but it turns out it's a family name :)

He is a cutie! 

Although I've decided holding babies is TERRIFYING. 

They are so little and fragile feeling! 

I prefer to snap photos and make goofy faces :)

Sunday Funday

I have more photos from May to share! 

This was the day after our Girls Day Out. 

It was a busy and fun weekend. 

The day started at one of my favorite restaurants, 

Georgetown Liquor Company, for brunch with my brother and Kara. 

I had the vegan chicken fried steak. I still think about it often. YUM. 

After brunch I headed out to Emerald Downs for Brad's birthday. 

It was a gorgeous sunny day. We enjoyed some cocktails 

and Kelly made the most beautiful chocolate cupcakes ever. 

The matching stripes were a complete accident. 
After this I got to go home and write a paper. 
Other than that it was an excellent Sunday! 

Girls Day Out

Sometimes life gets so busy that a great day 

with fun photos gets lost in the mix. 

These are from the first weekend in May, 

when Lauren and I took Kate out for a fun and tame afternoon 

to celebrate one of her last days as a bachelorette. 

I can't believe she's married now! 

More on that another time (hint, I just purchased a scanner). 

We began the festivities with lunch at Bamboo Garden, 

which is an all vegetarian Chinese restaurant. 

We each had Combo C (the best) and a cocktail. 

Then the big surprise... Ride the Ducks! 

We all grew up in the area but I had not yet fallen for this tourist trap. 

I had SO MUCH FUN! Even more than I expected. 

Our fearless captain, "Flip Dover", was excellent. 

We went through parts of town and into Lake Union. 

My favorite part was when he let the girl scouts on our boat 

have a dance party in the middle of the lake. So cute! 

It was nice to spend the afternoon with two of my best friends 

doing some fun things around the city! 

last days

 This has been a really long drawn out end to the school year. 

The kids' last day was yesterday, followed by the staff kegger. 

I moved out of the classroom I've "lived in" for the past four years. 

During the first two it really did feel like I was living there sometimes. 

 Today I moved into my new room and hung my first two posters. 

Mountains and mountains. Cascades and Olympics represented. 

 After work I enjoyed a Gin and Sin and 

white truffle popcorn at Cicchetti with Lauren. 

Then we picked up Michael for mini golf 

and ended the night at Molly Moon's. 

Tomorrow is my first day of class for the next month, 

so evenings like this are the closest I will get 

to summer vacation for a while.

Good Morning

and then came back to my place for dinner.

grades are done. 

class is done (until Monday).
