Henry at War

I met Danielle in college. 

She lived with the girlfriend of my then boyfriend's good friend. 

Yes, it's a little complicated. 

She used to pull out her guitar at parties and belt out 

these beautiful songs she had written herself. 

Then she and I both got jobs in the same school district 

and spent a week at the "new teacher institute" together. 

I hadn't seen her for a while until Friday night when 

she played at The Tractor with her band, Henry at War. 

If I could have any voice in the world it would be Danielle's. 

I would totally pull an Ursula and trap that voice in a shell around my neck. 

(Little Mermaid, remember?) 

But since I am not an evil octopus witch, I will just listen to it on repeat.
