A Corner

This post is a continuation of my post a couple weeks ago
about my workspaceI'm focusing on how I use my
Sale and Salvage finds around my house.

Today I'm sharing photos from the corner of my main room,
where my "entertainment center" is.
It's basically the view from the couch.

This is the corner. Both pieces of furniture are from IKEA, go figure.
I just added the low shelf last weekend to use as a bench for extra seating.

The cats love to use it as a window seat, as you can see.

This is where I keep the TV, DVD player, Tivo, Wii...all the ugly things.
So I tried to add lots of cute things to balance it out.

Here's a closer look at the cute things:
1. Birch tree tealight holders ordered from this Etsy shop
They've gone up in price and popularity since I bought mine.
2. Stack of old books from an estate sale.
3. Old fan found at an estate sale.
4. Set of two deer found at Oak Tree Antiques in Oak Harbor.
5. Old White Owl cigar box from an antique store in Anacortes.
6. Brownie camera found at an estate sale.
7. Small pitcher found at an antique store in Snohomish.

1. A sheet of gift wrap I found years ago at Packaging Specialties.
I cut it into smaller sections and used cheap IKEA frames.
Each section is a little bird or nest.  You know, put a bird on it.
2. Bird cage from Oak Tree Antiques in Oak Harbor, spray-painted.
3. Part of my blue jar collection found at estate sales.

Thanks for visiting!
