Day 1: tomatoes

Today's the day I start project 365. No particular significance to the date, but I wanted to get a few photos in before school starts and I start taking pictures of papers I'm grading.


I've decided I'm going to call my particular project "365 squared" because I want to do all square photos. I'm thinking they would make a cool collage eventually.

I'm also thinking about doing a "365 Polaroid" theme. Of course they're not real polaroids, but the effect is there:

Just needs the white border...I could mat them eventually.


So the story: I planted these cherry tomatoes from seed back in April. They love my new house in Seattle and are finally starting to turn red. I've eaten two so far and they're fabulous. They were the only successful crop I had. Next year I'm going to focus just on tomatoes and plant masses of them.
