Lollapalooza Highlights

Happy Music Monday! Today it's all about Lollapalooza.
We were only at Lollapalooza for one of the three days,
but that was plenty of time in the hot sun and we saw a number of great shows.

We started the day off with one of my favs, Wye Oak.
Here's a short video of their performance:
Pay special attention to the dude in the white
T-shirt entering the screen at 16 seconds.
Notice his nod of approval. Love it.

One of my favorite performances of the day was a band I hadn't heard of,
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals (apparently I live under a rock?).
They had an incredible set and that girl can sing.
Here's a clip:

Other bands we saw that day included Foster the People
(biggest crowd ever, check it out:)
Yeah that's a guy standing in the tree. Poor tree.
Back to the bands we saw:
Young the Giant
Ok Go
Cults
Ratatat
Skrillex
and...wait for it...epic....
COLDPLAY!
They kicked off their set with fireworks and then had laserbeams
shooting out into the crowd. They are fantastic of course and I loved
that they played a lot of their older favorites. For example:
I'm so glad I finally got to see them live.

That concludes today's Music Monday,
thanks for stopping by!
