Happy 4th of July... hopefully you like this holiday more than I do.
I'm spending the evening on the couch and the cats won't leave my side.
It's hard to like a holiday when I know that every animal around is terrified.
I know, I'm such a Debbie Downer!
On to happy things...
I made jam today! I can check that off my 26 before 27 list.
I decided to make strawberry rhubarb with rhubarb out of the yard
and the strawberries I picked yesterday. YUM.
I have a lot of strawberries left over so tomorrow's recipe will need to use those.
Something crazy is going on outside - there is a massive group of people yelling and screaming about something. Now they're yelling "America!". I can't wait for this holiday to be over...
I'm with you on this holiday. I tried to round Finnegan up before I left for Seattle but he was nowhere to be found. I got back around 9:15 and Skye, Brigid and Grady were totally freaked out - also spent lots of time on the couch with me. Even Grady tried to get up there. Poor Finnegan didn't come home until about 5 AM. Somebody called the cops on some neighbors who were out of control.
